This section can be reached by this LINK or by navigating using the left hand administration menu while logged into the backend of your WordPress website as highlighted in yellow above.

In this section you can change the NAME of a particular page. You can also change the URL of the page and it’s heirarchy within the structure of the website.

You should avoid changing settings unless necessary.

The first editable field is the PAGE TITLE, in the example above the page name is ‘About’ and is highlighted in yellow.

The second editable field is the PAGE URL, and this only becomes editable once you click the ‘Edit’ button as highlighted in yellow.

The page content in the main HTML editing section is not displayed on the website. The website uses widgets and Widgetkits exclusively to display all the content.

You should avoid changing settings unless necessary.

1. To change the Page Title simply type in a new name in the top field, replacing the existing name.

2. To change the Page URL click the ‘Edit’ button and then type in the new URL. You can click ‘cancel’ to discard your changes, or ‘OK’ to commit them.

3. On the right side of the page, click ‘Update’ as highlighted in yellow above to save the changes to your page.

Quick Edit a Page

You can also use the ‘Quick Edit’ sub-item from the main page listing area, which will allow you to change some of the page settings without loading the entire page.

You should avoid changing settings unless necessary.

As highlighted above in yellow, you can edit the Page Title and the ‘slug’ which is the Page URL.

Please note that changing the Page URL will cause links to that page to stop working properly.

You can also change the heirarchy of pages here, assigning a page to a parent. Because this website uses explicit menus, created to display the menus in a specific order, changing the heirarchy of the pages may cause some links to stop working.

When you have finished editing your page settings, click the ‘Update’ button to save them.
