The following pages detail how to manage the content contained in widgets.

What are widgets?

Widgets are self-contained packets of content, which can be assigned to one or more areas of any web page. This gives you greater control over your content than the normal practice of adding content to a page using the default HTML editor. It also allows you to affect the way that content is displayed without affecting other widgets, which you may want to display differently.

Please note that widgets are often dependent on specific settings to display properly in a particular page or role, and should be tested as copies in a new instance before being saved

Widget positions are shown below and are designated by a location tag for each area.

Please note that moving a widget from one area to another will affect several aspects of a web page, and could cause it to display incorrectly. You should avoid moving existing widgets.
