Glimpse Into Paradise
Inspired by tropical coastlines and the sensory memory they hold. These landscapes function as contemplative spaces, rooted in the tension between presence and escape and shaped by the human longing for peace. Thin layers of paint on raw linen allow the material’s natural texture and tone to remain part of the image. This transparency echoes a sense of openness — spaces that feel both grounded and untethered, fleeting yet eternal. In a world shaped by acceleration and distraction, they offer a timeless visual refuge where light moves slowly, color breathes, and the soul can drift freely.
Ocean Creatures
The intention with this series is to mirror the wonder of creation. Iconic, larger-than-life jellyfish float seductively on crisp backgrounds – their frills pulsing across the canvas like the petals of a flower or the skirt of a Flamenco dancer. These otherworldly and often feared creatures have no heart, no brain, no bones, and yet exist in breathtaking free-flow. The compelling mystique of humpback whales is celebrated in a bold rendition of their power and grace – as universal invokers of awe and a cornerstone of our concern for the environment.
Ebb & Flow
Ebb and flow is a series of aerial ocean paintings that explore the rhythmical nature of the ocean as a metaphor for our own lives.
Viewed from above, there is a sense of calm over the vastness, where up close it can fell overwhelming. These paintings invite a shift in perspective – to trust the rise and fall, to find beauty in transition and to not resist our own seasons of fullness and absence, certainty and longing.
The Space Within
This series of female portraits are an exploration of both the visible beauty and the quiet strength that resides beneath each woman – each carries her own story – the unseen inner landscape that shapes who she is, living in a posture or a gaze. The work honours the duality within femininity – softness and power, vulnerability and endurance.
